Choosing a password

You must choose a password when you first register.

For security, your password must:

  • Be between ten and thirty characters long.
  • Contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one punctuation mark and one number.
  • Punctuation marks accepted are: !"#$%&'*+,-.\:;<=>?@[]^_`{|}~

The above criteria is based on recommendations from OWASP and NCSC to ensure your medical records are kept secure.

How do I change my password?

Click ‘Password' on the Settings page and complete the form.

How do I reset my password if I have forgotten it?

Click the 'Forgot password' link on the login page (https://my.patientsknowbest.com/) and follow the instructions.

If you are unable to reset your own password for any reason, you can ask your clinical team to trigger a password reset email for you. The password reset link will take you to a page to create a new password and security question. If you are not sure who to contact in the team get in touch with our support team.
